I'm happy to ask all of you to join me at beardowncentral.com. Although it hasn't been long since PGU went down, it feels like forever. After getting word that PGU would very likely not be returning, I set about figuring how to find us all a new home. Along with Ryno and Murd, together we were going to find a spot to continue the PGU community that made the site great. Initially this was going to come in the form of a site we created. Early on I was contacted by Summercat, another PGUer. He and his friend Tom (a PGU lurker) had long been considering creating their own site, and when PGU went down, they saw this as a sign to jump to action. While we were still looking at names, they had already gotten a domain, vbulletin, and were putting the site together. After a lot of talking with them, we realized what a perfect match we had. None of us 3 were too excited about setting up and running a site, we just wanted a great place for cat fans to come together. Tom and Summer had already put a lot of work in on the back end, and shared our vision 100% regarding the type of site we wanted to have. They have been great to bring us into the fold and let us help shape the site. While I can't say this is the "new PGU" with any true authority, I will say that this will be the new home for Ryno, Murd, and myself, and we are hoping to bring as many of the people who made PGU a great community along with us as possible. The site is still coming together, and we hope you will be patient as changes come, give us feedback, and be a part of a new site that will grow and improve for years to come.
